Job summary

Compass Group USA's TouchPoint unit is hiring a part-time Floor Technician for Dell Seton Medical Center at UT in Austin, TX. The shift runs 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM with rotating weekends and pays $16.00 per hour.

One or more years of floor care experience is preferred, and training is provided. The Floor Technician handles floor maintenance and operates industrial floor care equipment, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, and cleaning large areas.

Qualifications

• One or more years of floor care experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Requires following safety procedures and may lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
