Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring for Floor Technician positions in Winston-Salem/Kernersville, NC. Roles include floor maintenance and restoration with evening schedules (3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM) at various locations within the school district.

Qualifications

• One to two years of floor care experience is required.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Performs carpet and upholstery cleaning including shampooing and extractions.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
