Job summary

Coreworks, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Floor Technician for the Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron, SD. This full-time position covers floor maintenance and operation of industrial floor care equipment, with a 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm schedule.

Passionate about safety and quality, you will contribute to a clean, safe environment for patients and staff while following established procedures and using specialized floor care tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Cleans carpets and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
