Job summary

Chimes DC Brand at the Pentagon in Washington, DC area is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors and facilities. You will follow contract specifications, safety procedures, and security requirements while delivering quality custodial services. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of floor technician or custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and floor maintenance techniques is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75–100 lbs. with assistance).
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, buff, and burnish hard floors
• Clean carpets using extractors and spot-cleaning equipment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain assigned areas
• Operate floor care equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and ride-on machines
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and properly
• Move furniture as needed to complete floor care
• Perform equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
• Remove trash when required
• Report maintenance issues, equipment needs, and safety concerns
• Assist with inventory and general custodial duties as needed
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies
