Job summary

Chimes invites applications for a Custodian (Finance) role in Washington, DC. The position pays $20.53 per hour and runs from 4:45pm to 9:45pm.

You will perform cleaning, disinfection, trash removal, and sanitation across assigned areas in accordance with contract specs and agency policies. The role is essential personnel; high school diploma preferred; up to 6 months custodial experience preferred; strong attention to safety, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to work evenings and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial work experience preferred.
• Custodial training desired.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications.
• Comply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with the contract specifications.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces in public areas.
• Descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals.
• Keep restrooms supplied with required paper products and soap.
• Perform routine glass and mirror cleaning.
• Scrub tile and wash walls.
• Vacuum area rugs and carpets; sweep and mop floors.
• Pull trash and recycling and place in proper receptacles.
• Dust various surfaces, polish furniture and metal, clean glass tabletops.
• Clean and disinfect kitchenettes and break rooms.
• Clean and disinfect fitness centers, health centers, and child care centers.
• Clean walls, partitions, window blinds, and window sills as required by contract.
• Clean corners, crevices, moldings, ledges, door jams, metal strips, and overhead surfaces.
• Clean elevators, escalators, and stairwells.
• Clean and police building exteriors, garages, and janitor closets.
• Keep tools and supplies clean and orderly.
• Empty and clean any public ashtrays and urns.
• Spot clean, service restrooms, and police trash.
• Perform or assist with special restoration work, as required.
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items.
• Perform emergency cleaning.
• Attend work regularly and report on time
• Attend required meetings and in-service training
• Pass and comply with all building and security requirements and procedures

Education
