Job summary

Berkeley County (SC) Government is seeking a dedicated custodial worker to perform routine maintenance in a large campus environment. Duties include cleaning tasks, stocking supplies, and assisting with outdoor upkeep, with a 37.5 hour workweek and shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of custodial experience; a valid SC driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; classes will be offered to those interested in pursuing a diploma.
• Six (6) months of related custodial experience in a large residential, commercial or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing routine building and ground maintenance including cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disposing of trash, dusting and scrubbing.
• Loads and unloads equipment and supplies as needed.
