Job summary

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, waste disposal, light moving, and reporting issues to supervisors. The position requires teamwork and professional communication with faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of custodial or related experience.
• Experience using scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Experience cleaning and maintaining pantries.
• Dusting, mopping, and sweeping in offices, conference rooms, open workspaces, and classrooms.
• Setting up rooms for meetings and events ranging from 12 to over 100 attendees.
• Experience working in a diverse educational campus setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, waste disposal, maintenance, room set-up, light moving, and other facilities-related tasks.
• Complete recurring tasks as written or assigned, such as floor, surface, appliance and equipment cleaning, readily without prompt.
• Report cleanliness issues to supervisor, or other Facilities staff, when observed.
• Report special requests for cleaning and maintenance to supervisor.
• Communicate with faculty, staff, students, guests, building service professionals and third-party vendors in a courteous and respectful manner.
