Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Iowa offers a housekeeping role with a minimum wage of $16.50 per hour and a scheduled shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. The role covers cleaning patient rooms, offices, lounges, restrooms, and public areas to maintain hospital standards.

Responsibilities include everyday cleaning tasks, trash and linen handling, carpet care, and restocking supplies. Must be able to bend, reach, and lift, with preferred GED and prior cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong English language skills (reading, writing, spelling).
• Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals, safety and disposal methods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Follow chemical cleaner usage procedures to protect floors and fixtures.
• Gather and empty trash and recycling.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Extract or shampoo carpets.
• Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, public areas, and other spaces using the 8-step method.
