Job description

ABM is looking for an Executive Event Porter to support events at a high-security facility in the Falls Church, VA area. This role includes setting up and breaking down events, maintaining facilities, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and assist with janitorial duties as needed.

Pay: $18.80 per hour

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills in English, including reading and interpreting safety guidelines and maintenance instructions
• One (1) year of prior customer service or related experience (preferred)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• 1-2 years of experience in event logistics, coordination, or related fields (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events in spaces such as training rooms, conference rooms, and outdoor areas
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and clients
• Respond to event-related emails, texts, and calls
• Clean and maintain building and event spaces
• Report repairs and maintenance issues to management
• Follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures
• Keep event storage organized, labeled, and properly maintained
• Perform janitorial tasks as needed

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. regularly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack-style vacuum cleaners
