The Allegheny Intermediate Unit invites applications for a Part Time Adult Education English as a Second Language Instructor. This itinerant role requires evening or weekend sessions,hyflex/online/in-person delivery, and collaboration with the FACES Adult Education program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Education or related field required.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience; teaching adults preferred.
• Recent ESL, literacy, or foreign language teaching experience preferred.
• K-12 teaching certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English language lessons for adult learners.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and technology to engage students.
• Assess progress using quizzes, assignments, and observations.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning environment and inclusive classroom.
• Coordinate with staff, recruit potential students, and promote programs.
