Qualifications

• Current Utah Teaching License with ESL Endorsement (Language Arts or English Endorsement preferred).
• Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL).
• Ability to work closely with students to improve language acquisition in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver English lessons to students with varying levels of ability.
• Establish rapport with students and motivate learning.
• Oversee federal and state compliance for assigned students.
• Administer WIDA assessments and prepare progress reports.
• Create blended or online courses for various language levels.
• Plan lessons and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Utilize classroom technology to support instruction.
• Maintain student records and communicate with parents regularly.
