Job summary

West Field High School in Taylor, Utah seeks a part-time English Learner (EL/ESL) teacher to support ELL students within the Weber School District. The role covers 4.0 hours per day (20 hours/week) on a 182-day calendar, with duties including lesson delivery and WIDA assessment preparation.

Qualifications

• Current Utah Teaching License with ESL Endorsement; Language Arts or English Endorsement preferred.
• Experience working with English Language Learners.
• Ability to help students improve language acquisition in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
• Knowledge of Utah Core Standards and WIDA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver English lessons for ELL students.
• Monitor ILDP goals and ensure federal/state requirements are met.
• Administer the WIDA assessment and prepare students for testing.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
• Collaborate with other staff and support student growth and behavior.
