Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas in the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion. You will work under the Environmental Services Manager, typically Mon-Fri, 3p-7p, totaling 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include cleaning surfaces, stocking supplies, following universal precautions, and coordinating with nursing staff for patient discharges and room readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in hospitality medical housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans environmental surfaces in patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas following universal precautions.
• Dries and wet mops rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and offices; vacuums carpets as needed.
• Maintains stocked service closets and housekeeper carts, reports broken equipment.
• Coordinates with nursing staff for patient discharges/transfers and room availability.
• Removes and replaces curtains and window treatments; follows MSDS and safety guidelines.
• Performs duties as assigned to support the unit and hospital operations.
