Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor in Environmental Services for the evening/night shift. This full-time on-site role (80 hours bi-weekly, 5:00 pm–1:30 am) is located in St. Albans, VT.

Qualifications

• High school degree required. Associates preferred.
• 2 years of Environmental Services team leadership preferred.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations, hospital safety, infection control, general cleaning and floor maintenance skills and excellent customer service.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and be insurable by NMC’s insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interviews and trains new staff.
• Oversees the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department.
• Rounds daily on work areas to ensure quality.
• Ensures all work orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Actively seeks a better way of performing cleaning tasks, floor maintenance and offsite cleaning to reduce redundancy and decrease costs.
• Models excellent customer service and positive attitude with staff, patients and customers.
• Works in collaboration with staff to improve their individual performance and overall team performance.
• Reviews staff checklists to ensure each job is completed and reassigns missed work.
