Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor in Environmental Services for the evening/night shift. This full-time on-site role (80 hours bi-weekly, 5:00 pm–1:30 am) is located in St. Albans, VT.

Qualifications

High school degree required. Associates preferred.
2 years of Environmental Services team leadership preferred.
Understanding of OSHA regulations, hospital safety, infection control, general cleaning and floor maintenance skills and excellent customer service.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and be insurable by NMC’s insurance policy.

Responsibilities

Participates in interviews and trains new staff.
Oversees the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department.
Rounds daily on work areas to ensure quality.
Ensures all work orders are completed in a timely manner.
Actively seeks a better way of performing cleaning tasks, floor maintenance and offsite cleaning to reduce redundancy and decrease costs.
Models excellent customer service and positive attitude with staff, patients and customers.
Works in collaboration with staff to improve their individual performance and overall team performance.
Reviews staff checklists to ensure each job is completed and reassigns missed work.
