Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea is seeking an Environmental Aide to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment during the evening shift. The role involves cleaning patient towers, public areas, exam rooms and offices, disinfecting surfaces, handling waste, and assisting with linen and bed making.

Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and at least three months of customer service or cleaning experience. No certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; English literacy required.
• Basic math skills.
• Three months customer service or cleaning experience preferred.
• Certification/licensure: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning to maintain patient areas, public areas and offices.
• Cleans and disinfects surfaces.
• Spot cleans carpet and upholstery.
• Reports needed equipment repair and unsafe conditions.
• Operates vacuum cleaning equipment.
• Changes linen and makes beds.
• Disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Upholds safety and Code of Conduct.
