Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to support clinical staff in NWV Amb Urgent Care.

You will work under a Clinical Nurse, collecting patient data and assisting in care plan implementation while ensuring comfort and safety for pediatric patients. The role involves applying basic orthopedics, CPR during emergencies, chart assembly, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to maintain high-quality care and efficient unit operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Patient care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• Current LNA/CNA or current Arizona EMT/Paramedic certification OR RN within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing selected portions of the care plan under supervision of a healthcare professional.
• Help with basic patient care activities including applying splints or casts and CPR during cardiac arrest management.
• Assemble patient charts and enter admission orders and demographics for timely charting.
• Identify and report unusual findings or symptoms to the supervising clinician.
• Maintain inventory of stock, supplies, and equipment for unit operations.
• Assist in obtaining blood specimens and delivering lab specimens as requested.
• Participate in in-service programs, rounds, and care plan updates to stay aligned with changes.
