Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Patient Access Representative for Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT. The role handles pre-registration, registration and admissions in the Emergency Department, with a two-week orientation from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Mon-Fri. The position is full-time with 40 hours, evening shifts, and weekend/holiday differentials. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, securing necessary signatures for billing, and directing self-pay patients to financial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred for advancement.
• Medical terminology knowledge is required or preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre-registrations, registrations, and admissions in the ED.
• Verify insurance requirements and understand benefits.
• Secure signatures and all information needed for billing and collections.
• Collect or arrange for co-insurance and/or other deposits.
• Refer self-pay patients to financial counselors and answer patient questions.
