Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a ware-washing associate to support the sanitation and meal service operations. Under direct supervision, you will sanitize china, trays, silverware and related equipment, and help maintain the tray-line area.

You will be responsible for dish machine operation, temperature checks, and stocking—ensuring sanitation standards while assisting in other related duties as needed. Evening shift, Rhode Island location, part-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift moderate to heavy weight and push patient food carts.

Responsibilities

• Ensures pars are met to maintain food temperatures.
• Prepares and stores food according to policies.
• Restocks and sets up workstations.
• Works in dish room.
• Sanitizes and discards patient meal trays properly.
• Loads and unloads the automated dish machine.
• Monitors and records dish machine temperatures.
• Sets up dish and pot wash areas.
• Stores chemicals properly.
• Maintains sanitation by cleaning floors, walls and equipment.
• Assists in moving equipment.
• May operate cash register and handle cash out duties.
