Job summary

southeastern Directions for Life is hiring Direct Support Professionals to work in group home settings serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Positions available as full-time or part-time with evening hours (2pm-10pm), three nights per week and every other weekend.

The DSP supports self-directed living, communication, daily living skills, and community participation. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, health maintenance, medication administration, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Driving record acceptable to the company’s insurer.
• Must pass comprehensive background checks (criminal, fingerprinting, central registry).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and skill development.
• Support self-directed living and community participation.
• Learn and reinforce personal care, health maintenance and communication skills.
• Assist with medication administration and behavior development as trained.
