Job summary

Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne is seeking dependable dining services staff for part-time shifts, working 20–24 hours per week from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Daily duties include preparing and serving meals, ensuring portion control, delivering trays, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness in a resident-centered environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, food service experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass background check and health screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to the menu and dietary requirements.
• Ensure proper portion control and food safety procedures are followed.
• Deliver and retrieve food trays in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and sanitizing kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food handling and sanitation procedures according to local health department guidelines.
• Interact with residents and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
