Job summary

Transforming Age Associates, LLC is seeking a part-time server to assist residents with meal service at our Illinois facility. You will present menu options, take orders, and relay them to the kitchen to ensure timely delivery and friendly service.

Qualifications include being at least 16 years old, prior server experience preferred, and POS system experience; background checks and other screenings may be required. This role offers evenings and weekends with hourly pay of $15.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• 6 months or more in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems.
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar) as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answer questions and make suggestions regarding meal choices.
• Record orders and relay to kitchen production area.
• Be knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Work efficiently and quickly to deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• Assist with light back-of-house kitchen duties (including tasks such as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed).
• Assist with table clearing.
• Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
