Job summary

NHC HealthCare Milan is seeking a dependable Part-Time Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Aide to join our dietary team in Milan, Tennessee. This role supports evening meal service and helps maintain a clean, sanitary dining environment while delivering quality nutritional care. The position offers an evening schedule (4:00 p.m.

– 8:00 p.m.) with about 12–16 hours per week, and includes opportunities for training and growth within our dietary services. Experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Willingness to work scheduled evening hours.
• Healthcare or food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evening meal service following established menus and dietary instructions.
• Prepare meal trays and ensure meals are delivered accurately and on time.
• Assist with evening dining room setup, meal service, and cleanup.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Properly store food and supplies and follow safe food handling practices.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, safety, and NHC procedures.
• Provide courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow partners.
• Assist the Food & Nutrition Services team with additional duties as assigned.
