Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Dietary Assistant/Server to join our team in Burnsville, MN. You will provide dining room meal service to senior residents and patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility, while helping maintain kitchenettes and supplies.

This role is a great foot-in-the-door opportunity for someone pursuing a medical career or a student seeking hands-on experience. The schedule includes evenings 4p-7:30p, with weekend rotation and holiday shifts, and a benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting.
• Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required.
• Desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service.
• Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies.
• Assists with meal prep and special events.
• Provides kitchen support when needed with dishwashing and cleaning of floors.
• Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately.
