Job summary

Sandstone Post Acute in Ohio is seeking a kitchen helper to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents. You will assist with food ordering, storage and prep, and help the cooks while maintaining a sanitary dining room and kitchen.

This 3:00pm–8:30pm shift emphasizes following production sheets, completing tray lines, and meeting meal schedules in a fast-paced center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage and prep as directed by supervisor.
• Assist cooks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare and label nourishments per center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non-entre foods; pour beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guidelines.
• Complete pre-preparation and food prep items; wash, peel and cut veg/fruit; slice meat; weigh portions.
• Follow cleaning schedule; clean equipment and work areas; mop floors; take trash to dumpster; wash pots and pans.
• Meet meal schedules and assist in meal service and tray line setup; breakdown and clean area after service.
