Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to provide high-quality meal service for residents, visitors, and staff. The role supports a clean, safe dining environment and follows established meal schedules.

This part-time position offers a shift from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with pay between $16.60 and $19.06 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision, life insurance, and an employee referral program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals according to resident dietary needs, portion guidelines, and established meal schedules.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and distribution of meals, snacks, beverages, and nourishments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces.
• Operate dietary equipment safely and accurately record food, beverage, and equipment temperatures.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Transport meal carts and food trucks throughout the facility in a safe and timely manner.
• Accommodate resident preferences and special dietary requests whenever possible.
• Follow food safety, infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Report equipment issues, hazards, accidents, and resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
