Responsibilities

• Assists in the kitchen area with food preparation and service for residents and staff.
• Maintains kitchen work areas; keeps equipment, utensils and plates clean and stored.
• Ensures sanitation and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Maintains food temperatures at proper levels during service and storage.
• Sets up and transports food carts; delivers substitutions to sub kitchens as needed.
• Cleans pans, carts and work areas; follows 3-bin sink procedures.
• Cleans and wipes carts after use; handles garbage and mops/sweeps floors.
• Performs dishwashing and related cleaning procedures.
• Sanitation of kitchen areas and maintaining a safe, clean, hazard-free environment.
