Job summary

Jerome L. Taylor Trucking, Inc. is seeking a second shift Diesel Truck A-Mechanic to join our team at our Upper Marlboro, Maryland location. We rely on digital tools and maintenance software to diagnose and repair heavy trucks, performing preventive maintenance and complex repairs under general supervision.

The position requires five years of diesel engine repair experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Shift is 2pm–11pm, Sunday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine repair: 5 years of experience required.
• Experience with diagnostic software and digital tools.
• Ability to read and interpret inspection reports and repair times.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of diesel trucks and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air system issues.
• Use diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and plan repairs.
• Estimate time and material costs for parts and services.
• Complete fleet maintenance paperwork and document parts usage.
