Job summary

U.S. Xpress in Ellenwood, GA seeks a TECHNICIAN, I FLEET for the Ellenwood USX Terminal. Shift is 3:30pm–12:00am; on-site only.

Compensation ranges from $23.03 to $25.59 per hour, with DOT and brake certifications required for PM work. You will perform basic and routine maintenance on tractors and trailers, inspect brakes and tires, check fluids, change tires, grease parts, and maintain high productivity per our guidelines. A high school diploma is required; a Diesel Tech diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical diploma from an accredited Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• DOT and brake certifications required to perform PM and brake work.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Follow USX PM guidelines for maintenance and inspections.
• Inspect brakes, tires, wiring, and related systems; check fluids.
• Change tires and grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain high productivity and meet SRT times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
