Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Minimum of two years of occupational experience in dental assisting.
• Awareness of state requirements governing dental assisting programs.
• Proficient in didactic and clinical four-handed and/or six-handed dentistry.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans using diverse teaching methods.
• Plan instructions to meet curriculum objectives.
• Coordinate with admissions and externship activities.
• Evaluate and grade student work within 72 hours.
• Maintain regular office hours to advise students.
• Prepare and update course materials and syllabi.
• Participate in faculty meetings and campus events.
• Complete documentation for student records and attendance.
• Arrange guest speakers and field trips to clinics.
• Enforce safety standards for students and staff.
• Support mission and participate in related duties.
