Job summary

Indy Fiber and Surface Cleaning LLC is seeking a reliable janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our building. The role includes dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, restroom and office cleaning, trash removal, and enforcing security after hours.

The ideal candidate has experience with cleaning equipment, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pass a background check. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule in Park Forest, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of janitorial experience.
• Driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Experience with cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Excellent stamina and physical health.
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily.
• Clean windows, supply restrooms, report issues, request supplies.
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees.
• Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete.
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs.
• Autoscrubbing.
• Fill-in for staff in case of call-offs.

We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. You’ll be responsible for all cleaning duties including light dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, offices, kitchen areas, hallways, entry ways, emptying trash and more. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, and experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done.
