Job summary

Indyfiberandsurfacecleaning is seeking a hardworking janitor to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. You will perform dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, restroom and kitchen cleaning, trash removal, and related duties with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has experience with cleaning equipment, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pass a background check. A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of janitorial experience
• Driver’s license or reliable transportation
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
• Excellent stamina and physical health
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
• Clean windows, supply restrooms, report issues, request supplies
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
• Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs
• Autoscrubbing
• Fill-in for staff in case of call-offs
