Job summary

VOCATIONAL SERVICES INC is seeking a part-time custodian for Vermilion Rest Stop, Tue and Thu evenings. You will perform cleaning tasks across offices and common areas, ensuring high quality and safety standards while maintaining supplies and equipment.

The role requires regular attendance, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to operate cleaning equipment. Prior custodial experience is preferred and background checks will be completed as required by the site.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks as required by site.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Regular attendance and reliable work habit.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned custodial responsibilities in a commercial cleaning account.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture.
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean ash trays and cigarette urns; handle recycling materials.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and sanitizes bathrooms; refill restroom dispensers.
• Operate a power vacuum; follow all safety procedures when operating equipment.
• Properly stock cart and assist with setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events.
• Follow the daily job routine and use correct step-by-step procedures.
• Inform the Account Manager of any equipment malfunctions or unusual occurrences.
