Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is hiring a Custodian in Santa Clara. The role focuses on cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas, with duties ranging from routine janitorial tasks to hazardous waste handling and safety compliance.

The position requires teamwork, reliability, and professional communication with supervisors and colleagues. The candidate will operate cleaning equipment, maintain a tidy work area, and participate in shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus; Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents; Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
