Job summary

Indy Fiber And Surface Cleaning in Park Forest, IL is seeking a dependable Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. You will perform light dusting, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and basic sanitizing of offices, kitchens, and hallways.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least four years of janitorial experience, a valid driver's license or reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience in janitorial services
• Driver's license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
• Excellent stamina and physical health
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
• Clean windows, supply restrooms, report issues, request supplies
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
• Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs
• Autoscrubbing
• Fill-in for staff in case of call-offs
