Job summary

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is seeking a flexible Custodian to support custodial and maintenance tasks for school facilities. You will work under the Building Principal and Head Custodian to help ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of buildings and grounds.

The role runs 8.0 hours per day, 5 days per week, 260 days per year, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A GED or high school diploma is required along with relevant experience and basic math/reading

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write; basic math.
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and supplies weighing 70 pounds or more.
• Good motor coordination and dexterity; able to perform essential functions.
• Verbal ability and good communication skills.
• Skilled in operating simple hand power tools.
• Two years of related successful experience.
• A GED or High School diploma.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of Building Principal and Head Custodian, assist in custodial/maintenance tasks to ensure safety, maintenance, and operation of buildings, contents, and grounds.
