Job summary

Evanston/Skokie School District 65 in Evanston, IL seeks a Custodian Second (evening shift) at Haven Middle School to provide custodial services, maintain a sanitary and safe environment, and prepare facilities for activities and events.

The role supervises assigned custodians in the absence of the Head Custodian; duties include cleaning, safety drills, supply management, and reporting maintenance needs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; prior related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, pools, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Conducts a variety of training and drills with students and staff for the purpose of ensuring that emergency procedures are in order, alarm systems are operational and/or established procedures are effective.
• Consults with administrative personnel for the purpose of planning, prioritizing and scheduling custodial activities and achieving site maintenance objectives.
