Qualifications

• No specific education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require valid driver’s license and safety/task training certification.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Follow daily schedule and complete listed duties.
• Handle hazardous waste: collect, classify, sort, store, ship/receive, label, recycle, and package.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report incidents or hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures; maintain professional conduct.
• Work in a team and fill in during staff shortages.
• Maintain a clean work area and use PPE as required.
