Job summary

Wayne State College in Nebraska is seeking a Custodian for a Monday–Friday 12:00 P.M.–8:30 P.M. shift with weekend rotation. The role entails routine custodial work and adherence to established cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, dusting, trash disposal, and basic maintenance. Lifting heavy loads and working in extreme temperatures are required; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold; bend, crouch and climb; assist in safe lifting in excess of 75 pounds.
• Physical strength to perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Routine custodial work including cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas per procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain custodial equipment daily and assist with minor repairs.
• Move furniture, set up for events, snow removal, and support special cleaning needs.
