Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College, a TBR institution in Dyersburg, TN, seeks a custodian to perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of college facilities. This 2nd shift position offers two vacancies and requires lifting up to 50 lbs, weekend flexibility, and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restrooms, trash removal, and minor upkeep. Minimum qualifications include an eighth-grade education and 1 year in custodian work; HS/GED

Qualifications

Ability to follow instructions on chemicals used for cleaning.
Flexibility to work weekends if needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Eighth grade education.
1-year experience in custodian work.
High School/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of building including, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, buffing and vacuuming floors, dusting and cleaning furniture, emptying trash containers, cleaning and disinfecting restroom walls, floors and fixtures, cleaning windows and glass doors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
