Job summary

Faribault Public Schools is seeking an Evening Custodian for the Lincoln area to keep school facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. The role runs Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm, supporting students, staff, and visitors in a high-traffic environment.

The ideal candidate will perform cleaning tasks, maintain restroom and classroom cleanliness, and assist with event setup. Must pass all safety requirements and have a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing.

• Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other areas.
• Ensure entryways and exits are clean and accessible.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Assist with setup and teardown for school events.
• Follow health, safety regulations and school policies.
• Secure the building at the end of shift.

• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other school areas.
• Ensure all entryways and exits are clean and accessible.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for school events or activities as required.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Secure the building at the end of the shift, ensuring all doors and windows are locked.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, reliable and able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for extended periods, strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards, good communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Pay
