Job summary

Qualifications

• Understand proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Understand cleaning methods and procedures.
• Perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
• Must have ability to perform daily tasks with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the contact person for all evening and night activities in the school.
• Ensure that all equipment related to evening and night activities is properly set up and broken down.
• Ensure that all exterior doors are securely shut when the building is closed.
• Arm the building alarm system at the conclusion of the shift.
• Ensure all evening and night custodial related work is effectively completed and address areas of deficiency.
• Regularly communicate with the custodial supervisor regarding the status of work orders, custodial related concerns, and ensure that action is taken to resolve concerns.
• Provide information to the building supervisor that will contribute to the custodial evaluation process.
• Oversee floor care and floor related cleaning schedules.
• Orientate substitute custodians regarding their work responsibilities and provide ongoing technical support and direction for the custodians.
• Manage inventory and order building supplies
• Make recommendations for disciplinary action to district supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s)
