Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT (CT) certification required (or ARRT Radiography with CT certification eligibility).
• Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience preferred (new graduates with CT training may be considered).
• Strong knowledge of CT anatomy, protocols, and radiation safety.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during mid and evening hours.
• Strong attention to detail and image quality.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Ensure patient identification, safety screening, and proper positioning.
• Administer contrast media as required, following safety and infection control guidelines.
• Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Follow all departmental policies, regulatory standards, and radiation safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and continuing education.
