Job summary

Maryville Academy in Chicago is seeking an Evening Supervisor for the Crisis Nursery (FT, 1 pm–9 pm) to assist the Program Director and provide leadership to three or more childcare workers. This role focuses on safe, nurturing care and program development during evening hours.

Salary range $55,000 - $60,000. Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or Early Childhood, at least two years’ experience with children birth to six, minimum age 25, supervisory

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in human services related field or Early Childhood.
• Two years of experience working with children birth to six years of age.
• Minimum of 25 years of age.
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to lead staff.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license and be able to operate a van.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in the overall organization and development of the crisis nursery during the evening shift.
• Direct three or more childcare workers; monitor staff-child interactions for safe, nurturing care.
• Provide training, supervision, and shift leadership; contribute to program planning and evaluations.
• Assist with scheduling, documentation, and emergency procedures; support quality improvement.
