Job summary

Milan Institute is seeking experienced Cosmetology Instructors to deliver comprehensive education and hands-on training. You will help students develop skills to excel in their cosmetology careers and inspire them to reach their full potential through engaging, practical instruction.

The role requires teaching both theory and practice, designing lesson plans, and maintaining records. Evening positions are available, with partial remote scheduling and a competitive salary/benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the cosmetology industry.
• Valid cosmetology license in the state of operation.
• Current Instructor license required.
• Excellent technical skills in hair, makeup, skincare, and nail care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and colleagues.
• Passion for education and ability to inspire students.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach theoretical and practical cosmetology, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup, skincare, and nails.
• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum and industry standards.
• Demonstrate and supervise hands-on techniques in classroom and salon settings.
• Provide individualized attention and support to students.
• Assess student performance through practical exams and assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
• Stay current with industry trends to ensure curriculum relevance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and collaborate with other instructors.
