Job summary

Heritagegardenshrc is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor food handling, and follow safety standards to provide nutritious meals for residents. You will ensure quality food service in line with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Responsibilities include preparing meals from planned menus and recipes, reviewing menus and production guides, and assisting with ordering and storage while maintaining timely service and consistent quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Two years as cook in a large-scale cooking operation, preferred.

• Maintains standards for food preparation and quality of food service; uses nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required; Follows standardized recipes.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals according to the menu, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. Safely and efficiently provides nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. Ensures the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
