Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues on production machines. You will support maintenance with PLC programming changes and document repairs in the EAM system.

The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before moving to evening shift, with a strong benefits package including a sign-on bonus. The position emphasizes safety, equipment optimization, and close collaboration with CEPG and maintenance teams to improve reliability

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Forklift and aerial platform licenses required or obtainable.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC problems on production equipment.
• Repair and implement PLC programming changes for reliability.

Job Overview:

The Evening Controls Technician will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot all electrical and Mechanical problems on equipment, including PLC controls. This position is responsible foranalyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs to electrical,mechanicalor PLC programming changes related to production reliability.

*This position will train on the day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning into the evening shift.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday (OT on Fridays as needed)

Highlights of your role:

• Observesfunctioningof installed equipment to detecthazards ,problems and the need for service,repairand/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with experience in the Allen Bradleyplatform basedprogramming, including RS Logix 500 and 5000.
• Work efficiently withworkorder system (EAM) to document repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the plant.
• Traces problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Discusses performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.
• Maintains backups of programs from all electrical devices.
• Checks newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Use basic Servo Controls (open and closed loop systems) and set up variable frequencydriveoperations and parameters.
• Perform basic motor operation and troubleshooting on Servo motors, brushed DC motors, and Induction motors.
• Works closely with the Custom Equipment Process Group (CEPG) on machine improvements.
• Will have the skills toproperly usea digital multimeter.
• Works closely with maintenance andis able toassistwith troubleshooting electrical problems and able to providePLC-supportacross the plant.
• Concisely and accuratelydocumentsset-pointsand parameters for equipment.

• 2-years experiencein a closely related role isrequired
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability toutilizeMicrosoft Office Suite programs proficiently

$28.00 - $42.00/hr, based on experience + $2 shift differential
