Job summary

A at Salinas, CA is seeking a Forklift / Warehouse Associate to support our cold storage and distribution operations. The role requires forklift certification, ability to work in a refrigerated environment, and accurate handling of pallets from receiving to outbound trailers.

You will operate forklifts, manage cold storage using FIFO, load/unload shipments, and maintain inventory with RF scanners and WMS. Flexibility for overtime and weekends during peak harvests is required.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification required.
• 1–2 years warehouse experience in a distribution setting.
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment (34°F–38°F) and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be flexible for seasonal overtime including weekends/holidays.
• Basic math and reading skills; able to follow complex verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric stand-up/sit-down forklifts, squeeze lifts, or electric pallet jacks to move, stack and stage pallets.
• Organize and rotate produce/products in cold storage using FIFO methods to ensure freshness.
• Load outbound trailers and unload inbound shipments, verifying product counts and quality.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to track product movement and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections and adhere to OSHA/FSMA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with food safety standards.
