Job summary

University Health in Lakewood is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate Long Term Care team. You'll provide personal care, assist with daily activities, and document patient data under licensed staff.

The role involves assisting with hygiene, mobility, and comfort, transporting specimens, and delivering care with respect for patient rights in a diverse setting. Shifts are 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, part-time 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Complete state-approved CNA training and competency testing.
• Be listed in good standing on Missouri CNA registry.
• Ability to read and complete documentation legibly.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff with hygiene, physical care and comfort for patients.
• Collect, transport, and handle specimens and equipment per guidelines.
• Observe and record patient data and report changes promptly.
• Deliver care with respect for patient rights in a diverse setting.
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and cultural diversity.
• Maintain age-appropriate care addressing physical, psychosocial, and safety needs.
• Remain courteous with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Stay informed about regulations and participate in ongoing training.
