Job summary

The Summit of Germantown is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Aide to join our compassionate care team. This role involves weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) from 7:00pm to 7:00am, with PRN all shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing for medication aides.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with the administration and supervision of medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Documents medications on the MAR and ensures accurate records at shift end.
• Conducts shift change reports with incoming staff.
• Maintains medication cart security and performs narcotic counts as required.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating, mobility).
• Works collaboratively with peers and maintains professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Reports suspected abuse and follows safety and infection control procedures.
• Performs related duties and supports dining, transport, and resident activities.
