Job summary

Join The Bristal Assisted Living in Englewood, NJ as a NJ Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for the 3p-11p shift. You will support residents with medications, administer MARs, and help with daily living activities in a caring, hospitality-style environment.

We value reliability, compassion, and accuracy. Applicants must hold a New Jersey state Medication Aide certification and an HHA credential; prior dementia care experience is a plus, and you will work one weekend day per week on a full-time

Qualifications

• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.
• Extremely reliable, dependent and observant.
• Ability to work one weekend day per week.
• Must have at least an HHA certificate.
• Solid understanding of MAR's and doctors' orders a plus (but we will train the right individual).
• Applicants must hold a New Jersey state med tech certification in order to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and the administration of their medications.
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents, while following company policies and procedures.
• Following Medication Administration Records (MAR) and doctors' orders.
